This recipe makes a nutritious, wholesome and delicious hummus wrap to fuel your lunch cravings. It's super quick and easy to make in under 5 minutes and makes a great lunchbox recipe. It can also be made ahead to time and stored as meal prep!

What makes this hummus wrap so amazing?
Planning lunches can be so cumbersome sometimes, especially if you are like me and don't like to eat the same thing over and over again. I like my lunch to be nutritious and delicious and have a good mix of all the macros. Bonus points if it is easy to whip up and taste good even if left in the fridge overnight.
This recipe ticks all these boxes. It is both super delicious and nutritious at the same time. I use gluten free, brown-rice wraps that add healthy carbs, organic lean turkey breast deli slices that add healthy protein and my home-made sun-dried tomato hummus for healthy fats and flavor! This hummus is so delicious and makes this wrap taste absolutely amazing, you have got to try it!
What can you add into this wrap?
I like adding some greens + lean protein + fresh or jarred marinated veggies + cheese in this wrap. This helps in adding both heathy protein + veggies into my meal and keeps me full for longer.
I really like the peppery bite of arugula in this recipe, but you can replace it with spinach or any other fresh greens that you have on hand. If you are planning on eating this wrap immediately, then a slice of red onion will make it even more delicious. I don't recommend adding in the onion if you are making this recipe as meal prep.
I like using using jarred roasted bell peppers and marinated artichokes in this wrap. I love the vinegary flavor here along with turkey and salty feta cheese. You can use any of your favorite veggies that you have on hand. Olives will be really delicious in here too!
Perfect for meal prep!
If you use the same ingredients as me, these wraps can be stored for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator without the fresh greens. Make it as meal prep for the week and add in the greens just before packing lunch/eating. The key here is to use ingredients that don't get watery over time. Don't use vegetables like tomatoes or lettuce in these wraps, if you want to meal prep them.
I used hearty brown rice wraps in this recipe and they don't get soggy over time. Also, don't pack these wraps in plastic or aluminum foil, as the moisture can get trapped, making them soggy. Store them in a glass container instead.
Serve it warm or cold!
What I love the most about this recipe is that it tastes amazing both warm and cold. In the winters, I prefer having warm lunches and the brown-rice wrap helps protect the fresh greens from wilting too much when heated on a pan. In summers, I enjoy having this straight out of the refrigerator.
